July 4 2009

Well, since I can't climb into the bed with Moriah, I'll bring Moriah into the bed that I made on the floor. This has been long-awaited, right Amber? ;-)
*my own little taste of independence with my daughter today*

Happy 4th of July everyone!

*Hoping to take Moriah up to the roof so that we can watch the fireworks and celebrate our nation's day of independence!*

*AND WE DID GET TO GO*
Nurse Jodi made a special trip to take Miss Moriah up to the roof
(she's such an incredible Nurse)

Nurse Jodi, Justin, Sal, Dr. Shin, and RT Augusta seeing Moriah off

Moriah trying to see everyone and everything

Many of the patients, their families, and their Nurses were already gathered to watch the show

Move outta the way! This girl comes with accessories

With Sariah and Amanda, who are also at the RM House

And even though Moriah didn't even notice the fireworks (they were pretty far away), we still really enjoyed this time as a family. Happy 4th of July. =)

LOVING this! Vic, this is such a big deal and I am beaming with happiness that you had that taste of simply hanging with your sweet girl, on the floor with pillows and toys! (M looks so scrumptious!)

Have so much fun on the roof with fireworks- you know how I love the rooftop of LPCH!

That is so awesome that you were able to take Moriah to the top of the roof to spend 4th of July with her watching firworks :O) I just love how you were able to hang out with her on the floor for some "independence". Praying for ya'll that no infections occur and you are able to get back home.

This really touched my heart! The fact that your goal was to enjoy something as a family and that you were blessed by that after all the effort is such an encouragement to me! Thank you for being so faithful in your updates! Enjoy the rest of this beautiful weekend!

Oh, Victoria!
I so clearly remember the day in the PICU when I finally was able to cuddle with Gracie on a makeshift bed on the floor. It was pure heaven! I am so happy you got this time! Isn't it the best?! You can just stare at eachother for hours, right?!

And... fireworks on the roof... so fun!
What a special "Independence Day" you had... on the floor and the roof! :-)

I somehow missed the entry on Friday that your release is being planned fort his week. Yahoo! That is awesome! I will be praying that everything continues to go well.
Secondly, you and Justin look so happy holding your precious little girl on the rooftop. What an awesome 4th of July you had.
I know I've said this before, but, parents can't hear this often enough, huh.....She is adorable! I just want to take those cheeks and pinch 'em!
My prayers will continue to be with you as you prepare for the "big" day!

Prayerfully,

Janet

So many great posts!! I was so excited to watch you guys enjoy last night's festivities in person!! You guys are on your way... I loved watching the video and the picture of you two on the floor. There have been so many times I have wanted to jump in bed with Conner. I am sure that was heaven for both of you!

Beautiful!

Last night I had a dream that Moriah and I were watching tv together, and I was sitting on the couch admiring her.

I am so grateful.
