6 Months Old

My sweet boy, you are now 6 months old! And oh my goodness, you keep us on our toes...

You weigh 16 lbs and are 26 1/2 inches long. You eat 5-7 oz bottles, and 8-9 oz before you go to bed at night. You still wake up 1-2 times a night, but you give us at least one 6 hour stretch. Thank you. 

Your hair is getting curly, and I love it.

                    

You are the happiest baby, and laugh all day long. Even when there isn't anything to laugh about, you will still laugh. I love you for that. 

                        

You are eating baby food now, as you can see from the leftover sweet potato on your nose. It is official that you do not like peas. 

Some of your nicknames: Jado, Brother Bear, "Genda Munda" which means Dirty/Yucky Boy in Punjabi, "Dadoo" which means Frog in Punjabi, and lastly, "Matsalay" which means White Boy in Malay

You can now get on your hands and knees and rock. We seriously better get ready. You have the same focus and determination as your sister, and I'm both intrigued and hesitant to see why God gave these strong characteristics to you as well...

You are grabbing everything in sight. 

When we were waiting at the Doctor's office today for your 6 month shots, I had a huge wake up call. The room was filled with babies, several around the same age as you. All the babies were sitting very contently and quietly in their Mama's laps. And then there was you...

You were bouncing, grabbing, screaming, squirming, bouncing, grabbing, screaming, and squirming.

You are ALL boy, my son, and I know you are going to keep us very, very busy.

You will probably get away with any trouble you get into when you're older if you flash me this smile...I'm not going to tell you that though.

I love you with all my heart, Jadon. Thank you for making me feel like such a lucky Mama.
