"For Old Time's Sake"

We found ourselves saying that a lot while at LPCH.

Let's go to Adronico's...for old time's sake.
Let's eat at the fountain...for old time's sake.
Let's get a picture of M with all her Nurses and Doctors...for old time's sake.

However, when it came to M being discharged after only two days of being in the CVICU, this was all new territory for us - something we could really get used to for the next time around!

We had our really good friends, Jason and Laura, there to support us and feed us for the day. M was really happy to see them too, especially after coming back from her cath. She's already smiling away immediately after her 4 hour procedure - can we say champ?

The reason you see M moving around after her cath is because they put the wire through her liver. With this, they put a coil in so that there isnt a risk of bleeding afterwards. Typically, with a cath, you enter through the groin area, and you are supposed to lie still for hours afterwards so that there is no chance of bleeding. However, M's femeral arteries are occluded so they couldn't enter this way.

Night Night for the little miss

Nurses Janice, Kristen, and Rose

Our favorite Cath Nurse, Rosalee

M's AWESOME Cardiologist, Dr. Gail Wright - we will never forget the moment when she came out and hugged us, telling us the great news about Moriah's heart

And of course, one of our other favorite doctors, Dr. Roth

Waving goodbye to Lupe, and Nurses Kristen, Janice, Genevieve, and Gina

Thank you for your continued love and support, CVICU!
See you guys...next year ;-)
Lots of love,
Team Nelson
